In this role you are serving as key legal resource for Dentsply Sirona’s supply chain organization in EMEA, and responding to a variety of legal requests from procurement, operations, environmental health & safety, logistics, and related teams, and advising on legal risks identified in relation to such requests and proposing solutions to mitigate such risks.

 

Corporate Counsel, Supply Chain and Procurement - EMEA Region, Netherlands


This role can be based in the Netherlands or Italy


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and maintaining a variety of complex, international commercial agreements, including strategic sourcing/procurement, indirect sourcing, joint development, contract manufacturing, logistics, consulting, general services, marketing, technology, licensing, and other operational and commercial agreements;
  • Drafting and maintaining forms/templates for a variety of procurement & supply chain agreements including detailed negotiation position documents;
  • Developing processes and procedures for direct and indirect procurement and supporting procurement team on its development of processes and procedures;
  • Providing training to internal business partners and customers on a variety of legal issues;
  • Providing strategic and practical advice and subject matter expertise, working with senior legal team members as appropriate, on relevant supply-side legal, regulatory, and operational matters to business team leaders, including security of supply, contractual risks, supplier risk management;
  • Working with cross-functional team members to identify and address compliance risks, corruption and anti-bribery matters, information security and data privacy, corporate social responsibility, Conflict Minerals, trade compliance, and related regulatory matters;
  • Building close cross-functional relationships and maintaining a strong knowledge of the products, services and objectives of Dentsply Sirona’s supply chain organization, and particularly the procurement team;
  • Managing relationships with external counsel and other professionals representing Dentsply Sirona for projects;
  • Managing various pre-litigation, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution matters, as needed;
  • Managing supply chain-related legal aspects of acquisitions and divestitures; and
  • Managing special project teams, working on cross-functional teams, and taking on other legal tasks, as requested.

 

 

Requirements and Qualification:

You are a fully qualified attorney in an E.U. member state and have 5+ years of relevant post-qualification experience gained in a global organization and/or law firm, including significant experience in contract drafting for multinationals. If you have several years of in-house experience in healthcare or manufacturing is strongly preferred.


Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • 5+ years relevant professional experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of contracts including direct material contracts, contract manufacturing agreements, joint development agreements, master services agreements, consulting agreements, SAAS agreements, general service agreements, non-and disclosure agreements;
  • Openness and ability to familiarize with various legal systems;
  • Proactive business-oriented approach with a hands-on mentality and the ability to identify and prioritize issues and provide pragmatic solutions to key stakeholders;
  • Fluent business English (at least C2 level) written and spoken, any other language is a plus with a preference for German.
