Scope

The Supply Planning Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Supply Planning team.  They will work closely with other Supply Analysts to ensure finished good supply plans are created and aligned with manufacturing to meet requirements.  The Supply Planning Analyst interacts and communicates with demand and replenishment planning, finance, operations and supply chain teams to identify inventory trends and constraints. Analyze inventory trends and make suggestions to prioritize, expedite or modify open orders.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage supply chain finished goods inventory levels at the Hub warehouses. Monitor network inventory levels and requirements, replenishing inventory to meet Supply Chain Planning targets including inventory investment, customer service levels and transportation efficiencies. If there is risk, work collaboratively with the cross functional teams to minimize cost and maximize customer service.
  • Create finished goods supply plans and partner with demand and replenishment planning on the overall S&OP plan.
  • Review with production sites overall supply plan to ensure sufficient capacity is available to meet global requirements
  • Communicate supply capacity constraints to impacted markets.
  • Closely coordinate and communicate inventory action plans with Finance.
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product management, Operations, and Procurement to launch new products on time.
  • Collaborate with Plant Material Planners/Buyers on purchasing raw materials, relative to the published finished goods build plans, to ensure raw material will be ready in time to support the finished goods build plans.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.

 

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • Knowledgeable of supply chain planning processes.
  • Excellent communication and follow up skills to manage expectations and resolve conflicts with stakeholders.
  • Strong numerical problem-solving skills.  Ability to boil down vast amount of data to the relevant points.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams on an international basis.
  • Proficiency with Excel is required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent level of relevant experience.

 

Certifications/Licensing:

  • APICS certification is preferred.

 

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 2+ years of supply chain planning experience.
