What We Are Looking For - Scope of Role
Role Summary
The Sr. Director, Clinical Education – North America (NAM) is responsible for leading the strategy, design, and execution of clinician‑facing education across the United States and Canada. This role leads a team of Clinical Educators who deliver high‑quality, accredited Continuing Education (CE) programs through live courses, workshops, symposia, and digital learning experiences for dentists.
This leader serves as the senior clinical authority for NAM education, ensuring programs meet the needs of practicing clinicians while supporting business priorities, product adoption, and long‑term customer trust. The Clinical Events team will report to this leader and will be responsible for executing clinical events across NAM. The ideal candidate possesses significant experience in clinical education and demonstrates strong people leadership skills, bringing credibility and expertise to clinician training and development.

What Will You Do - Responsibilities
NAM Clinical Education Strategy & Leadership
- Own and execute the North America Clinical Education strategy, aligned to regional commercial priorities, product launches, and clinician demand.
- Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of NAM Clinical Educators responsible for course delivery, faculty engagement, and learner experience.
- Define clear priorities for course mix, capacity, and vertical focus (e.g., implants, digital workflows, restorative, specialty education).
- Serve as the senior NAM clinical leader in interactions with dentists, faculty, professional organizations, and internal leadership.
2. Educational Program & CE Governance (NAM Focus)
- Set the end-to-end educational program roadmap for NAM (live, hybrid, and digital), translating strategy into an annual course and event portfolio.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian Continuing Education (CE) accreditation standards, including required documentation, approvals, and audit readiness.
- Partner with Compliance, Legal, Finance, and other internal stakeholders to maintain strong governance across CE activities, speaker/faculty engagements, and program execution.
- Define and uphold standards for educational quality, clinical relevance, and learner outcomes, using insights to continuously improve content and delivery.
- Oversee planning and execution of clinical educational events (e.g., courses, workshops, symposia, webinars), ensuring end-to-end operational excellence (logistics, faculty coordination, attendee experience) and alignment to learning objectives.
3. Faculty & Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Leadership
- Identify, recruit, and retain NAM‑based Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and clinical faculty.
- Build long‑term partnerships with leading clinicians, academic institutions, and professional associations across NAM.
- Ensure faculty alignment with educational objectives, compliance standards, and brand values.
- Oversee faculty onboarding, credentialing, contracting, and ongoing performance feedback.
4. Cross‑Functional Partnership (NAM)
- Partner closely with NAM Commercial, Sales Training, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, and Product teams to align education with business priorities—while preserving educational integrity.
- Translate field insights and clinician feedback into actionable improvements in course design and delivery.
- Provide executive‑level updates and recommendations on NAM Clinical Education performance, capacity, and impact.
5. Operational & Financial Stewardship
- Own the NAM Clinical Education budget, including course spend, faculty costs, and event investments.
- Balance investments between capacity expansion and course execution to meet regional demand.
- Establish scalable operating models for education delivery across the U.S. and Canada.
- Track and report key NAM metrics such as attendance, CE issuance, satisfaction scores, and program effectiveness.
Who You Are - Qualifications
Required:
- Significant experience in clinical education, professional affairs, or clinician training.
- Demonstrated people‑leadership experience, including leading teams of educators or clinicians.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles and dentist education best practices.
- Excellent executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders and external clinicians.
- Ability to travel across North America as required.
Preferred:
- DDS, DMD, or equivalent dental degree; active or former clinical practice strongly preferred.
- Direct experience overseeing accredited Continuing Education (CE) programs in the U.S. and/or Canada.
- Prior experience working with or serving as a Key Opinion Leader (KOL).
- Experience partnering with commercial organizations while maintaining educational independence.
- Familiarity with learning technologies, LMS platforms, and hybrid education models.
