Sales Director, US Technology (National)

 

Role Summary

 

The Sales Director, Technology is a senior commercial leader within the Dentsply Sirona U.S. Technology organization. Reporting to the Vice President, CTS, this role has national responsibility for the US Technology vertical across the United States.

 

The Sales Director sets strategy, drives execution, and delivers profitable growth while ensuring a consistent, best‑in‑class customer experience nationwide. CTS Regional Business Managers report directly into this role.


Scope of Responsibility

 

  • National leadership of the CTS vertical business
  • Direct management and development of CTS Regional Business Managers
  • Accountability for national sales performance, talent development, and strategy execution
  • Partnership with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Distribution leadership

Key Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Talent

  • Build, lead, and retain a high‑performing national technology leadership team
  • Recruit, onboard, coach, and develop Regional Business Managers
  • Establish performance standards, succession planning, and leadership readiness
  • Sales Execution & Coaching
  • Align CTS strategy with Sales, Marketing, and global leadership priorities
  • Drive consistent execution of sales processes, workflows, and performance expectations
  • Coach Regional Business Managers as the first line of leadership support

Strategy & Business Planning

  • Develop and execute a national CTS business plan
  • Analyze market potential, capacity, and performance to set growth targets and budgets
  • Drive organic growth, account expansion, and adoption of integrated technology workflows
  • Build and maintain relationships with distributors, key customers, and Key Opinion Leaders

Culture & Communication

  • Foster a performance‑based, values‑driven culture across the technology organization
  • Communicate strategy, priorities, and expectations clearly and consistently
  • Serve as an executive‑level representative of the CTS business

Administrative

  • Manage national expense budgets (travel, events, demo equipment)
  • Prioritize communications, approvals, and administrative requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–7 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years, or equivalent
  • 5–8 years of experience leading managers
  • 3–5 years of sales or sales management experience; dental or healthcare preferred
  • Demonstrated financial and strategic business acumen

Key Skills & Capabilities

  • Ability to travel up to 70% nationally
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills
  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop senior sales leaders
  • Strong analytical and decision‑making skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft 365 tools
