Summary:

The Sales Analyst is responsible for providing business analysis and reporting to field sales, sales management and other cross functional departments within the organization. This is a remote role that requires candidates to be located in the Eastern Time Zone. 

 

  • Collaborate with sales administration team to manage all aspects of quota, territory deployment and commission payments for the field sales function.
  • Provide management with accurate and timely business analysis in support of a variety of business objectives using multiple sources of information.
  • Design and develop complex queries, comprehensive reports and analysis in order to facilitate fact based business decisions.  
  • Effectively utilize market share data to perform multiple types of business analyses.
  • Work with the appropriate cross-functional team members to establish common metrics and scorecards in support of key business objectives.
  • Serve as a functional expert to management by providing accurate and reliable information and analyses.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis, reporting and data interpretation to key internal customers as necessary
  • Design, develop and manage data models to support a variety of business requirements
  • Develop post promotional analysis using transactional data to determine the level of effectiveness and ROI of promotional events
  • Assures that effective communications are maintained within areas of responsibility.  Where appropriate, informs leadership and key stakeholders as to results, plans and progress.  Assures that communication plans are in place and executed at regular and frequent intervals
  • Work with a variety of information systems (CRM, ERP, etc.) in order to support the business requirements.
  • Participate in database improvement projects with the IT department as necessary
  • Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company and corporate objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices
  • Perform other duties as required by management

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college or university or equivalent years of relevant experience

 

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of three years of relevant work experience in finance or analytics

  • Must exhibit a high degree of professionalism and resilience.
  • Advanced technical skill base using MS Office products and customer relationship software.
  • A strong analytical aptitude with good reasoning skills.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical skills must be strong in order to perform calculations, understand concepts and correlations
