The Americas Privacy Analyst plays a key role on the Company’s global privacy team supporting the privacy legal and compliance activities of Dentsply Sirona in the Americas region. This is a full-time job.This position will report directly to the Director, Americas Privacy & Global Cybersecurity Counsel and work closely and collaboratively with other members of the global privacy team. 

·      Conducting privacy impact assessments and audits to evaluate compliance with privacy laws and regulations

·      Documenting and maintaining records of privacy-related processes and decisions for accountability and audit purposes.

·      Supporting data inventory and mapping activities, such as maintaining and updating the Company’s record of processing activities

·      Conducting or supporting third party risk management assessments

·      Reviewing and responding to inquires from employees, customers, vendor partners, members of the public regarding Dentsply Sirona’s privacy practices

·      Assisting with periodic assessments and reviews of privacy compliance programming, including tracking progress against defined objectives

·      Maintaining legally required filings with Data Protection Authorities, including tracking processing fees and deadlines

·      Supporting the Company’s response to Data Subject Access requests, including e-Discovery document review activities as needed

·      Assisting with the creation of privacy training materials and presentations to business clients

·      Supporting the region’s Data Protection Coordinators with privacy compliance-related activities

·      Maintain list of breach notification requirements applicable to the America’s region

·      Monitoring changes in privacy legislation and assisting with updates to policies and procedures as needed. 

·      Completing privacy assessments and questionnaires from customers and internal stakeholders

·      Collaborating with third party partners to ensure their practices align with Company’s privacy standards

·      Supporting the Company’s management and response to data security incidents, including conducting investigations, maintaining and distributing notification letters, preparing regulatory filings, etc. 

·      Completing additional privacy-related duties as assigned.

Education

·      Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) required.

·         Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, CHPS, CHPC, CISSP, ISEB) preferred but not required.

 

Experience

·         2 years working in compliance and privacy or a closely related field

·         Experience working with the OneTrust (or similar) Privacy Management platform preferred but not required

 

Specific Knowledge / Skills

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

·         Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate discretion

·         Proficiency in creating reports and maintaining documentation

·         Strong written, verbal and presentation skills

·         Must be fluent in English; Spanish or Portuguese language skills strongly preferred, but not required.

·         Ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·         Ability and willingness to learn new topics and processes

·         Ability to work under pressure, with time constraints, and minimal oversight

·         Proficiency in data mapping, inventory management, and data flow analysis (preferred, but training can be provided)

·      Ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures to determine appropriate action, including but not limited to identifying issues that require the input of other Privacy team members and taking steps to escalate matters appropriately

·      Ability to work with various stakeholders, outside counsel, and cross-functional teams to ensure execution and drive issue resolution in a timely manner.

·         Organized and detail oriented, with a high degree of ethics, integrity and professionalism

·         Strong change and project management skills, including time management and effective prioritization to manage competing deadlines

·         Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required (estimated to be 10%).
