Team Lead SU - Costa Rica

The Digital Lab Setup Team Lead will oversee successful completion of the orthodontic set-ups for treatment with fixed appliances, using proprietary software. Primary responsibilities for this job include, but are not limited to the following:

• Inspect incoming Setup requests to ensure completeness of instructions from the Orthodontists, feasibility and consistency
• Manage and distribute cases for DL techs in order to fulfil the minimum point requirements of the day.
• Assist the DL Trainer with creating and maintaining all training documentation for all new hires and internal technician transfers.
• Main liaison between the Digital Lab in Costa Rica and the setup QC team in Dallas (direct or indirect) as needed for instruction clarification, additional information or Doctor request
• Provide feedback to team members, engineering and management for software enhancement suggestions or bugs related to the processing step. 
• Mentor level I and Level II and Level III trainees o Maintain and renew all DL certifications annually
• Meet all Digital Lab productions requirements weekly and fill in for processes under the discretion of the DL manager and Supervisor as needed.
• Set-up the teeth according to Doctor instructions, as needed
• Check and correct the digital design of the archwires before sending them to robot for physical bending
• Able to provide leadership over the members of your team; make decisions; solve problems; conduct team meetings; ensure adequate staffing; and represent the team in internal meetings
• Ensure self and team members are in compliance with OraMetrix and the Digital Lab policies
• Guide team and members’ performance; assist in providing training; coach and motivate team members; work with the DL Manager and DL supervisors to evaluate team members.
• Make sure his/her team successfully get all metrics, goals and standards required by the company, individually and as a team.
• Works closely with the DL Supervisor to supervise and ensure effective employee relations; create an ethical, non-discriminatory and safe work environment; establish effective communication lines/methods.
• Help the DL Supervisor identify employee problems and create solutions to resolution.
• Attend meetings as necessary o Maintain ISO compliance
• Other duties and responsibilities not specifically described may be assigned from time to time at DL Manager’s discretion.

Prerequisites required for this position: 

• Extensive knowledge of dental anatomy and tooth movements
• Highly recommended by supervisors and/or peers

Educational Qualifications and Experience: 

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Administration, Odontology. High School diploma is acceptable.
• Must have extensive experience Supervising medium – big Teams under his/her responsibility.
• Extensive experience in the digital dentistry industry, especially in the aligners business, Setup processing and brackets/wires digital treatments
