Clinical Education Associate: South Africa

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of the country strategy for CE (Clinical Education) and KOL (Key Opinion Leader) in collaboration with the Regional Marketing Lead, the Dental Product Group / Regional Workflow (EMEA) team and Global Corporate CE function; incorporating online platforms as well as face to face and hands-on courses.

•  Tactical execution of the RCO strategy and delivery of quality education programs for dental and healthcare professionals
•  Responsible for the management, mobilization, and quality assessment of KOL’s (includes recruiting, training, managing courses and KOL performance) ensuring engagement, focus on key brands and consistency in message.
• Support the regional marketing & sales teams by providing in country guidance and an expert opinion when required.
• Work with marketing team to update/develop new training and education materials based on identified needs, including case reports etc.
• Delivery of sales team and dealer training programs in collaboration with marketing and EMEA Workflow team
• Monitor clinical publications and provide relevant updates to sales and marketing.
• Responsible for controlling, monitoring and updating the training and education budget with forecasted/actual spending on monthly basis.
• Develop and implement process to measure end-user need satisfaction (KPIs)
• Develop and implement curriculum and course delivery according to educational needs in line with local plan execution.
• Plan events, determine budget need, evaluate ROI and ensure successful event management.
• Maintain records of customers interested in CE courses, follow up, input leads onto CRM from events
• Manage ordering of demo stock, monitor and maintain course equipment and consumables
• Compliance with Corporate guidance and initiatives, (inc PPSA, KOL/HCP payments) and provision of statistical data analysis
• Support commercial and marketing leads in drafting commercial plans

Accountabilities:

• Delivery of CE events in line with Budgetary spend
• Development of curriculum to meet local need and in line with overall business strategy and product focus
• ROI and evaluation on all CE events
• Management and development of KOL’s across RCO for all product areas
• Management of Dentsply Sirona Academy (where applicable)
• Scientific support in collaboration with KOLs for the sales team and marketing – including product testing, articles from local KOLs, FAQs etc.
• Develop and run a local Advisory Board with regional marketing lead
• Engage with local professional organizations and identification of key universities, build and develop relationships with key personnel
• Coordinate the post-graduate programs/ case contest /Grant Program
• Liaise with EMEA team and local KOLs to deliver new products assessments in market

Background:

Education:

Preferably a Bachelor’s degree in a clinical field i.e. Dental or Medical . We will consider equivalent professional qualification

3 years related experience with demonstrated record of success

Proven ability to coordinate and effectively plan continuing education events for the purpose of knowledge development

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

• Analytical, planning, organizational and implementation experience ideally working within marketing

• Strong command of Microsoft Office and Internet applications

• Proven track record of developing Training and Education programs

• Able to travel both nationally and internationally

• Fluency in English, additional Languages in SA is a plus

• Background in Dentistry is an advantage
