Dentsply Sirona, Sarasota, FL is seeking a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our team. This position is scheduled to work M-F 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient operation of our automated production line, which includes the supervision of integrated robots. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues to ensure uninterrupted production and maintain product quality.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain automated production line equipment, including integrated robots, to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Start up, run, and shut down automated production line as required.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive checks on machinery to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Able to monitor machine to maintain precision tolerances.
  • Identify and troubleshoot technical issues, including machine and robot downtime, and implement timely solutions to minimize production interruptions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Make adjustments to machinery and robots to optimize production efficiency and maintain product quality standards.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers to address complex technical issues and implement improvements to the production line.
  • Comply with safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Document production activities, equipment maintenance, and any issues encountered during operation.
  • Perform review of Bill of material, and material handling activities as needed.

 

Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in industrial automation or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience operating and troubleshooting automated production equipment, including robots, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of automated systems and machinery.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical schematics, manuals, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Experience with advanced automated equipment and familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC's) is a plus.
