We are looking for an ERP Integration Engineer to support SAP S/4HANA integrations, with a strong focus on EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). This role will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions and ensuring seamless integration between SAP, internal systems, and external partners.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise in SAP and EDI with strong analytical and communication skills to work effectively in a global environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical owner for global EDI integration requests (new and existing trading partners)
  • Translate business requirements (order management, shipping, invoicing, remittance) into SAP S/4HANA EDI solutions
  • Define and validate EDI document scope (e.g., 850, 855, 856, 810, 997, EDIFACT equivalents)
  • Validate partner connectivity models (SPS Commerce, VAN, SFTP, APIs where applicable)
  • Coordinate onboarding of trading partners with internal teams and external providers
  • Identify and manage non-standard partner requirements and integration complexities
  • Configure and maintain SAP EDI Partner Profiles (WE20) and IDoc settings
  • Manage message types, ports, and IDoc processing parameters
  • Maintain cross-reference tables and ensure data consistency
  • Ensure correct partner determination logic (Sold-To, Ship-To, Vendor)
  • Troubleshoot EDI and IDoc issues (inbound and outbound)
  • Support SAP EDI projects, enhancements, and incident resolution

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with EDI and SAP integrations in an enterprise environment
  • Strong experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Solid knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., X12, EDIFACT)
  • Experience with SAP IDoc configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with integration technologies (APIs, Web services)
  • Understanding of Order-to-Cash (OTC) business processes
  • Experience with EDI partner onboarding and mapping
  • English: Advanced (C1) required
  • Additional languages are a plus

 

Technical Skills

  • SAP EDI configuration (WE20, IDoc processing, partner profiles)
  • Data mapping and schema transformation
  • Troubleshooting EDI transaction errors (inbound vs outbound)
  • Experience working with EDI providers (e.g., SPS Commerce is a plus)
  • Familiarity with SAP partner determination and EDI enhancements
