Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Salesforce Administrator who will be responsible for the strategic administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Salesforce platform across the organization. This role serves as a key partner to Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, and other business functions, ensuring that Salesforce capabilities are aligned with business objectives, scalable, and compliant with governance standards.

 

This position will lead complex system configurations, drive enhancements, support data integrity, and act as a subject matter expert for Salesforce best practices. This role also plays a critical part in enabling business transformation through automation, analytics, and user adoption initiatives.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Salesforce Platform Management & Optimization

  • Serves as the primary administrator for the Salesforce environment, including user management, roles, profiles, permissions, and security settings
  • Designs, configures, and maintains scalable solutions using declarative tools (Flows, Validation Rules, Process Automation, Lightning App Builder)
  • Leads the evaluation and implementation of new Salesforce features, releases, and enhancements
  • Ensures platform stability, performance, and adherence to best practices

 

Business Partnership & Solution Delivery

  • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, translates business needs into technical solutions, and delivers high-impact enhancements
  • Acts as a trusted advisor to Sales and Commercial teams to optimize pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting capabilities
  • Supports end-to-end project delivery, including requirements gathering, solution design, testing, deployment, and post-implementation support

 

Data Management & Governance

  • Maintains high standards of data quality, integrity, and governance across the Salesforce ecosystem
  • Develops and enforces data management processes, including data imports, deduplication, cleansing, and validation
  • Partners with Compliance and IT to ensure adherence to data privacy and regulatory requirements

 

Reporting & Analytics

  • Designs and deliver advanced reports and dashboards to support business insights and decision-making
  • Provides actionable analytics related to sales performance, pipeline health, and operational KPIs
  • Supports leadership with ad hoc reporting and data analysis

 

User Support & Enablement

  • Provides Tier 2/3 support to Salesforce users, resolving complex issues and driving timely resolution
  • Develops training materials, user guides, and best practice documentation
  • Leads user adoption initiatives and continuous improvement efforts

 

Release Management & Change Control

  • Manages system changes through a structured release management process, including sandbox testing and production deployment
  • Ensures proper documentation, testing protocols, and stakeholder communication for all system updates
  • Maintains system documentation, including configuration, workflows, and integrations

 

Integration & Technical Collaboration

  • Partners with IT and external vendors to support integrations with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, marketing automation, customer support platforms)
  • Assists in troubleshooting integration issues and ensuring seamless data flow across systems

 

Other:

  • Complies with company and departmental policies and administrative requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned or as needed

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification required; Advanced Administrator or Platform App Builder preferred

 

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 5–8+ years of experience administering Salesforce in a complex, multi-user environment
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce Lightning Experience, Flow Builder, and automation tools
  • Experience with data management tools (e.g., Data Loader, DemandTools)
  • Proven experience supporting Sales Cloud (Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud experience preferred)
  • Experience in a global or highly matrixed organization preferred
  • Experience supporting commercial or healthcare-related organizations

 

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:

  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, and third-party applications
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
  • Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and data privacy regulations
  • Strategic thinking and business acumen
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
