Software Support Specialist – Dental Technology | Dentsply Sirona

We are seeking a Software Support Specialist to join our growing Software Support team and play a crucial role in supporting our clients across Australia/New Zealand.
About the Role
As a Software Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, responding to inbound software-related enquiries for dental equipment. You will troubleshoot issues over the phone, provide remote IT support, and follow up with customers to ensure full resolution and satisfaction.
This role is essential in ensuring dental practices experience seamless operation of our equipment and software platforms, while representing Dentsply Sirona with professionalism and exceptional customer service.
What You’ll Be Doing

Provide phone-based IT support and technical advice for our dental equipment software

Remotely connect to customer platforms to troubleshoot in real time

Perform software installations, pre-installs, diagnostics, repairs and migrations

Log, escalate and manage help desk tickets in line with SLAs

Work collaboratively with the broader Software Support team and cross-functional stakeholders

Maintain current knowledge of systems, products and procedures through self-driven learning

Follow all organisational health & safety procedures and promote safe working practices
What You’ll Bring
✔ Experience installing and supporting software applications
✔ Understanding of PC firewalls, LANs and SQL
✔ Level 1 Help Desk experience – minimum 6 months
✔ Strong customer service mindset and professional phone manner
✔ Proven ability to work across multiple clients and manage competing priorities
✔ Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
✔ Advanced computer skills – MS Office proficiency

Dental industry knowledge

Experience with Sidexis software

Tertiary qualification in IT or related field
