Supply Chain Analyst

 

Job Summary:  

The Supply Chain Analyst is a crucial role in optimizing the flow of materials, inventory & production schedules to ensure efficiency & cost-effectiveness

 

Job Duties:

 

Inventory & Material Management

  • Assist the Buyer/Planners in monitoring raw material availability to prevent production delays.
  • Assist in the reviewal process and provide feedback on how to optimize inventory levels to balance costs and demand.
  • Update all planning parameters on a quarterly basses that need adjusted.

Production Planning & Coordination

  • Analyze demand forecasts and align them with production schedules. Highlight large misses month over month.
  • Coordinate with production managers to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements.

Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Track supplier performance in terms of delivery and quality.
  • Assist in any expediting of material and processing of material at the site to help expedite it in.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Use data analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Generate reports on inventory turnover, supplier efficiency, and production trends.
  • Recommend improvements based on data insights.

Coverage for Buyer/Planners when they are absent

  • This role will cover the buyer/planners when they are out of the office.
  • This will help further grow this role for the next step which is to be a buyer/planner

Education:  Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years as a Supply Chain Analyst

 

Certification/Licensing:

APICS CPIM Certification preferred (may be obtained on the job; recommended completion of Modules 1 & 3)

 

Years and Type of Experience:

2 years of Analyst experience or Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Computer Science, or related field

 

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • Analytical, production planning, organizational and implementation experience working within supply chain.
  • Strong command of ERP systems, statistical analysis tools, and Microsoft Office and Internet applications
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Critical thinker.
  • Positive attitude in challenging environments.
  • Driven to produce a quality product; is goal oriented.
  • Ability to achieve goals through influencing others.
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
