Production Controller will be responsible for the following:

Monthly Closing Activities

  • Managing Cost Center spending analysis; 
  • Leading reporting and analysis in monthly closing process;
  • Overseeing Inventory valuation and Turnover reporting compilation: metrics analysis including monthly RM, WIP and FG levels
  • Reviewing Inventory excess, obsolete and slow moving for purposes of monthly reserve calculation
  • Reviewing compilation of Inventory adjustment and Scrap reporting and analysis of PPV; Volume, Manufacturing Variance
  • Responsible for Capital Expense: Liaise with Operations to maintain the capital expenditure database and processing of authorizations
  • Responsible for reporting on completions, expenditures in process, and expected spending for forecast & yearly planning;

Forecast & Budget Activities

  • Quarterly or annual compilation of cost center spending for Ops or Opex cost centers
  • Strategic calculation of projected manufacturing variance
  • Overseeing the annual calculation of standard costs in ERP
  • Provide business partners with report data allowing them to complete budget and forecast exercises

Ad Hoc Reporting Requests

  • Manage correspondence across various finance teams with queries on submission & requests: (eg comparision of spending to prior year)
  • Reviews Daily & Monthly Sales reports (intercompany and 3rd party) analysis versus forecast or budget

ERP & Hyperion Data Maintenance

  • Oversees maintenance of pricing data for processing for sales and for processing costing of work orders
  • Ensure maintenance of ERP account and department parameters 
  • Creation of ad hoc queries, for data extraction from the ERP tables or databases (i.e VBA, SQL, ATLAS, other)
  • Manages the Hyperion submission reporting and reconciliation: local ERP database versus Corp
  • Business Unit Hyperion reporting extractions vs ERP on Operating Expenses: R&D clinical, Marketing, selling

 

Education and Experience

 

Education:  B.A Finance or Economics or equivalent

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a US based company (manufacturing a plus)
  • Experience with Costing or Manufacturing accounting

Key Required Skills, Knowledge and Capabilities:

  • Programming in Excel VBA etc
  • Experience using Hyperion Oracle System
