The Head of Human Resources – India is the senior HR leader for Dentsply Sirona’s India business, responsible for shaping and executing the country people strategy in alignment with business priorities and regional HR direction. Operating within a matrixed, multinational environment, this role partners closely with India business leaders across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Corporate functions, while also contributing actively to the APAC HR leadership community.

This position requires a credible and commercially astute HR leader who can balance strategic influence with hands-on execution. The role is accountable for end-to-end HR leadership in India, including business partnering, employee relations, compliance, organisational change, leadership support, and culture shaping. Success in the role depends on sound judgement, strong personal integrity, and the ability to deliver pragmatic, business-led solutions in a highly regulated and evolving market.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted adviser to the India leadership team across Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain and Corporate functions.
  • Translate business strategy into practical workforce, talent and culture priorities.
  • Provide candid, commercially grounded advice to leaders on organisational and people matters.
  • Influence leadership decisions through sound judgement, data-informed insight and a strong understanding of business drivers.
  • Lead the full HR lifecycle in India, ensuring effective delivery across employee relations, performance, talent, organisation design and core people processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian employment laws, labour regulations, statutory requirements and internal governance standards.
  • Manage sensitive employee and leadership matters with discretion, fairness and risk awareness.
  • Balance policy adherence with pragmatic business solutions that support operational effectiveness.
  • Contribute as a member of the APAC HR team, supporting cross-market projects and regional initiatives.
  • Represent India’s people priorities and market perspective in regional discussions.
  • Lead or support change management, organisational design and transformation programs.
  • Embed scalable HR practices aligned with regional and global frameworks.
  • Shape a high-performance, values-led culture that supports business growth and employee engagement.
  • Role model ethical leadership, integrity and personal credibility in all interactions.
  • Lead through complexity, ambiguity and change with resilience and maturity.
  • Build strong leadership relationships while maintaining independence of thought and constructive challenge.

Profile Requested

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive HR Business Partnering experience, ideally including country-level or senior HR leadership roles.
  • Proven experience supporting Commercial and Operations leaders in complex business environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of Indian employment laws, labour relations and statutory compliance.
  • Experience operating effectively within a matrixed, multinational organisation with regional or global stakeholders.
  • Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences or another highly regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to organisational change, transformation, restructuring or growth environments is preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen and enterprise-level business partnering mindset.
  • Executive presence with the ability to influence and challenge senior leaders constructively.
  • High integrity, discretion and sound judgement in managing sensitive issues.
  • Hands-on, pragmatic leadership style with the ability to move between strategy and execution.
  • Resilience, adaptability and emotional intelligence in dynamic environments.
  • Clear communication and the ability to operate effectively across cultures and organisational levels.
  • Proficient across MS applications including word, PPT, excel
