Scope

We are seeking a motivated and experienced ETL Engineer to join our dynamic Data Services team. The ETL Engineer will be responsible for designing and developing efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into our data warehouses. You will be part of a highly collaborative team that works to ensure our data systems meet the evolving business needs. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement ETL processes to extract data from various sources, transform it to meet business requirements, and load it into data warehouses or other target systems.  
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data throughout the ETL process by implementing robust validation and error-handling mechanisms. 
  • Optimize ETL processes for efficiency, minimizing load times and maximizing data processing speed to support real-time or near-real-time data needs. 
  • Work closely with data analysts, database administrators, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure that ETL processes align with business needs. 
  • Conform to Dentsply Sirona development standards and best practices.  
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL process-related issues. 
  • Be available for on-call support as needed. 
  • Recommend and implement emerging ETL technologies. 
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned. 

 

Typical Background

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • MCA certifications is a plus. 

 

Years and Type of Experience

  • 5+ years of solid experience with ETL technologies (SSIS, ADF, Databricks and SQL server) along with proficiency in SQL and data warehousing concepts. 
  • Proven working experience in ETL development and data integration. 
  • Experience creating, managing, and troubleshooting complex operational data flows 
  • Meticulous approach to data handling, ensuring that all aspects of ETL processes maintain the standards of data quality. 

 

Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities

  • Strong analytical skills, allowing you to design efficient ETL solutions and troubleshoot complex data issues. 
  • Develop innovative solutions to streamline data integration processes and improve overall system performance.   
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
  • Communicative skills, verbally and writing in English.
