The Vice President, Corporate Tax serves as the senior executive leader responsible for shaping and directing Dentsply Sirona’s global tax strategy. This role oversees all aspects of tax planning, tax accounting, compliance, and risk management. The VP, Corporate Tax will partner closely with executive leadership to optimize the company’s global tax position, ensure compliance with evolving tax regulations, and support strategic business initiatives, including business transformation, supply‑chain optimization, and cross‑border transactions. This leader will guide a high‑performing global tax team, supported by a complement of professional service providers, serving as the primary interface with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with corporate objectives and shareholder value creation.
  • Lead international, federal, and state tax planning initiatives, including transfer pricing, supply‑chain optimization, and cross‑border structuring.
  • Direct all aspects of tax accounting under U.S. GAAP, including quarterly and annual tax provisions, uncertain tax positions, and effective tax rate management.  Manage quarterly disclosures preparation in accordance with SEC rules and regulations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of all global tax returns, disclosures, and regulatory reporting.
  • Manage global tax audits, inquiries, and disputes, working proactively with tax authorities and external advisors.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing global tax organization, fostering collaboration and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Treasury, Operations, and Business Unit leaders to support strategic initiatives and ensure tax‑efficient decision‑making.
  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, tax policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Provide tax leadership for acquisitions, divestitures, integrations, and other strategic transactions.
  • Oversee relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation or JD preferred.
  • CPA or equivalent professional certification strongly preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive tax leadership experience, including significant experience in a multinational corporate environment.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax, including tax accounting under ASC 740.
  • Experience working for our auditing publicly traded companies, ideally within the medical device, life sciences, or manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated success leading global teams and managing complex cross‑border tax matters.
  • Strong track record of partnering with executive leadership and influencing strategic decisions.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Expert knowledge of global tax regulations, including OECD guidelines, transfer pricing, and emerging tax reforms.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate complex tax concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Exceptional leadership and people‑management capabilities, with a focus on developing talent and fostering collaboration.
  • Superior communication and executive‑level presentation skills.
  • High degree of integrity, judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive financial and regulatory matters.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, matrixed global organization.
  • Proficiency with tax technology and ERP systems, with an interest in process improvement and automation. Strong team orientation, and ability to fit in with Dentsply Sirona’s culture
  • Willingness to travel as necessary, approximately 20%
