In the role of UI Lead, they will take complete ownership of projects, providing technical leadership and direction within our team. Your primary responsibilities will include enhancing, supporting, and spearheading development initiatives for Dentsply Sirona's AEM on-prem and cloud-based e-commerce platforms. This leadership role demands a proactive approach to developing and improving user interfaces that meet business goals and enhance user experience.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the technical leader, guiding UI development from concept to implementation.
- Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise in UI design and development to elevate team capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with product and business teams to accurately understand project requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
- Propose and implement UI best practices and enhancements to improve the quality and efficiency of our development processes.
- Manage and optimize UI development workflows and release management to ensure timely delivery of projects.
EDUCATION: BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering disciplines
YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE
- 6-8 years of dedicated UI/UX design and development experience within a vibrant software development environment.
- Expertise in front-end technologies including JavaScript, CSS, and HTML, with at least one year experience in Adobe Experience Manager 6.0 or higher (AEM).
- Demonstrated ability to lead UI-centric projects effectively, especially on platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager. Experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento), Commerce Integration Framework (CIF), and AEM as a Cloud Service (AEMaaCS) is highly desirable.
- Proven background in working with Agile & Scrum methodologies and utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence for project management.
- Responsible for the full lifecycle of UI solutions, including design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation.
- Prior experience in e-commerce environments, particularly with platforms like SAP and Hybris, is beneficial.
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & CAPABILITIES
- Experience in writing software tests, good understanding of software testing concepts (for example: TDD, BDD, testing pyramid)
- Solid knowledge of DevOps and agile development methodologies
- Knowledge in CI/CD, containerization and cloud computing
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong commitment to deliver high-quality results
- High motivation to learn and apply modern technology
- Strong communication skills
