The Tax Analyst, Domestic Compliance, is primarily responsible for the preparation and review of the various federal, state, and international components of the Company’s U.S. federal income tax return.  In this position, you will be preparing and reviewing U.S. federal and state returns, conducting provision calculations, and providing audit support.

 

 

  • Ensure accurate, timely filing of the Company’s federal, state and local income tax returns and other business-related filings, along with supporting workpapers.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns, extension requests and coordinate the quarterly estimated payments.
  • Prepare and review U.S. International tax filings (Forms 5471, 8858) and related disclosures.
  • Assist with calculations in support of the Company’s yearly and interim tax provision to ensure accurate reporting and compliance with ASC 740.
  • Assist with federal and state income/franchise tax audits by gathering information and preparing draft responses to IDR’s put forth by the taxing jurisdictions.
  • Assist with state income tax apportionment data collection and calculations.
  • Research, analyze and conclude on various federal and state tax issues, new legislation, and tax reform as impactful to the organization.
  • Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process, including monthly/quarterly account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, including automation, redesigning workpapers, and enhancing workflows.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA designation is preferred, but not required.

Years and Type of Experience:

  • Three or more years of corporate tax experience.
  • Multinational Corporation Experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Big 4 accounting firms is preferred.
  • Experience with OneSource suite of software, including Income tax and Tax Provision, is a plus.
  • Experience with analytic tools, such as Alteryx or Power BI, preferred but not required.
