Scope:  Our Associate Corporate Development & Strategy will be responsible for analysis and diligence around transactional opportunities being reviewed by the Company, as well as analysis around key strategic decisions and organic growth opportunities within the Company.  Working within a lean Corporate Development & Strategy team, the role will have a high level of exposure to the senior management team and support due diligence and process management for transactions, review and analysis of key strategic opportunities within the Company and project management of other key firm initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand market and industry landscape and dynamics, including key trends, new competitors and emerging disruptive technologies
  • Analyze and conduct due diligence on transactional opportunities for the firm and affiliates, including any M&A or divestitures
  • Play a key role in the execution of new business and acquisition opportunities, including but not limited to financial analysis, industry research, preparation of written materials, and efficient use of the firm’s resources
  • Manage and interact with external service providers on various projects as necessary (lawyers, bankers, accountants, etc.)
  • Assist with review and analysis of key strategic business decisions across the firm, including potential new product development, growth investment opportunities, capital allocation / capital structure analyses, etc
  • Structure complex analysis to develop compelling, insightful recommendations for the Strategy team and executive leadership
  • Develop strategies and plans to properly integrate inorganic acquisitions to our business model, collaborating across the organization as necessary
  • Coordinate interaction between departments throughout the firm as necessary, including Commercial, Legal, Corporate Finance, Regulatory teams
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects as assigned

 

Education and Experience:  

 

Education: BS/B in Economics, Finance or Accounting

Years and Type of Experience: 3-4 years of experience, including a minimum of 2 years of experience within investment banking, private equity, and/or strategy consulting is required

 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, notably in the form of presentations, deal memos, etc.
  • Superior quantitative skills are required.
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to advance work product independently
  • Ability to balance multiple concurrent projects
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from inception to completion within a deadline driven, dynamic environment
  • Outstanding organization, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated team player, self-starter, and independent thinker.
