In this role as AEM Lead, they will act as lead developer, taking complete ownership of projects. They will be responsible for providing technical leadership and expertise to enhance, support, and drive initiatives related to Dentsply Sirona's AEM on-prem and cloud e-commerce platform. They display strong mentoring and coaching skills, provide guidance to other team members, share technical knowledge, promote development best practices, and help elevate the skills of others. They will collaborate with product and business teams to understand requirements, propose solutions, and contribute to optimizing development processes and release management.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders and collaborates on features, and processes development and bridging any gaps as needed.
- Managing the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
- Support the development of enhancements as needed to align with Ecommerce operations and roadmap.
- Be an impactful contributor to the team to plan, design, and build elegant solutions.
- Provide guidance and technical expertise to less experienced developers in resolving design problems.
- Assists with business validation testing on new capabilities and enhancements.
- Responsible for overall documentation management.
- Design, engineer, test, record and maintain code.
- Develop technical specifications to guide development efforts of other programmers.
- Collaborate with a cross-functional team including product and design to experiment and increase user engagement opportunities.
EDUCATION: BS or MS in Computer Science or related engineering disciplines
YEARS AND TYPE OF EXPERIENCE
- 6-8 years of experience working as part of a software development team in a Programmer Analyst or similar role
- 4-5 years of experience with Java.
- Experienced working on Java; JavaScript; Web Development; Adobe Experience Manager 6.0 or greater (AEM)
- Create and maintain updated and understandable User Guides and API documentation.
- Experience with any/all of the following, in addition to solid AEM skills, would be ideal as well (but not required);
Magento / Adobe Commerce, CIF (Commerce Integration Framework) ,AEMaaCS (Architecture of Adobe Experience Manager as a Cloud Service),Identity Management (Integrating IAM solutions with AEM),Strong JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Experience working in Agile & Scrum environments and Jira and Confluence.
- Performs and/or leads design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solution.
- Experienced in eCommerce projects, SAP, Hybris a plus.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture

- A high level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills necessary to relate to other people at their systems knowledge level
- Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
