Finance Data Analyst
The Finance Data Analyst serves as a key partner to the Finance organization, ensuring that financial processes, reporting, and decision-making are supported by accurate, reliable, and well-structured data. This role bridges Finance and technology by translating business requirements into analytics and reporting solutions that enhance financial visibility, performance monitoring, and decision-making. Working closely with FP&A, Controlling, Accounting, and other Finance teams, the analyst helps improve data quality, streamline reporting processes, and deliver actionable financial insights across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into reporting, analytics, and data requirements.
- Support financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management through reliable data and analytical solutions.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for dashboards, reports, data models, and system enhancements.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain financial reporting and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Databricks.
- Perform data analysis, validation, and reconciliation to ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity across financial systems and reporting platforms.
- Collaborate with data engineers, developers, and IT teams to support the delivery of scalable and efficient analytics solutions.
- Support Finance teams during planning, forecasting, and month-end close cycles by ensuring timely availability of accurate data and reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations supporting financial performance analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, and key business metrics.
- Contribute to process standardization, data governance, and continuous improvement initiatives across Finance functions.
- Assist in aligning local and regional financial processes with global reporting standards and frameworks.
- Provide user support, documentation, and training related to reporting and analytics tools.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial data flows, reporting structures, and analytical capabilities.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Advanced degree is considered an advantage.
- 3–5+ years of experience in financial analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role.
- Experience supporting Finance functions such as FP&A, Controlling, Accounting, or Financial Reporting.
- Experience working with large datasets and transforming data into actionable business insights.
- Experience in an international or shared services environment is an advantage.
- English – Advanced (C1)
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Databricks, and other analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, planning, forecasting, and performance management concepts.
- Knowledge of financial data structures, financial KPIs, chart of accounts, cost center reporting, and P&L analysis.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting environments (SAP preferred).
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate business requirements into practical reporting and analytics solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a global and multicultural environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for enabling data-driven financial decisions.
