The Commercial Data Analyst partners closely with Commercial teams and regional leadership, acting as a trusted advisor and key collaborator. Working alongside a dedicated scrum team, this role drives the commercial data and analytics agenda by ensuring business processes are supported by accurate, reliable, and well-structured data. The position serves as a bridge between business and technology, translating commercial requirements into scalable reporting, analytics, and data solutions that support decision-making and business performance.
What Will You Do
- Partner with Commercial stakeholders to understand business priorities and translate them into data, reporting, and analytics requirements.
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and analytical capabilities.
- Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications for dashboards, reports, data models, and system enhancements.
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of business intelligence and analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Databricks.
- Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and IT teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and comply with established standards.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and analysis to ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency across systems and reporting platforms.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations that provide actionable business insights.
- Support user adoption through training, documentation, and ongoing guidance related to reporting and analytics tools.
- Contribute to data governance, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across commercial functions.
- Assist in aligning local and regional business processes with global standards and reporting frameworks.
- Support analytics initiatives related to sales performance, customer insights, forecasting, pricing, and commercial effectiveness.
- Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Who You Are
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Advanced degree is considered an advantage.
Years and Type of Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or a related analytical role.
- Experience supporting commercial, sales, marketing, customer operations, or business functions is preferred.
- Experience working with large datasets and transforming data into actionable business insights.
- Experience in an international or shared services environment is an advantage.
Language Skills
- English – Advanced (C1)
Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities
- Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, Databricks, and other data visualization and analytics tools.
- Strong understanding of data analysis, reporting methodologies, and business intelligence concepts.
- Knowledge of commercial data structures, sales performance metrics, customer analytics, and reporting frameworks.
- Familiarity with ERP and CRM platforms (SAP and Salesforce preferred).
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical data solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively across diverse teams and international environments.
- Continuous improvement mindset with a passion for leveraging data to support business decisions.
