Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) - Bensheim, Germany

 

We are looking for a qualified Software Engineer with experience or a strong interest in developing expertise in test automation. As a Test Automation Engineer (m/f/d) you will be responsible for designing and implementing automated testing solutions in the highly interesting domain of cloud-based software for dental healthcare. You will work in a team that embraces modern tools and workflows to achieve high-quality software and fast release cycles.

 

 

Your Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop test automation solutions written in Golang, based on the Gherkin/Cucumber framework
  • Develop solutions for automating the end-2-end testing of our software applications, including backend and frontend components written in Golang and Dart/Flutter
  • Integrate the test execution and reporting to the CI/CD pipeline
  • Develop interfaces to our issue tracking and monitoring services
  • Support the teams in increasing the requirements and code coverage of automated testing
  • Improve the reporting of automated test results and their inclusion to product documentation
  • Share your work results and test automation knowledge with the teams of our software organization, for example, in stakeholder demos and learning days
  • Contribute your own ideas in our agile development process

 

 

Your Profile:

 

  • BS or MS in computer science or related engineering disciplines
  • Years and Type of Experience:
  • 5+ years as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or comparable role
  • Experience in developing of commercially successful software
  • Key Skills, Knowledge & Capabilities:
  • Experience in writing software, preferably in C++ and/or Golang
  • Experience in writing software tests, good understanding of software testing concepts (for example: TDD, BDD, testing pyramid)
  • Experience in frontend development, preferably with Dart/Flutter, TypeScript, or JavaScript is an advantage
  • Experience with the Gherkin/Cucumber framework or other test frameworks is an advantage
  • Solid knowledge of DevOps and agile development methodologies
  • Knowledge in CI/CD, containerization and cloud computing
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong commitment to deliver high-quality results
  • High motivation to learn and apply modern technology
  • Strong communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Occasional travel to one of our other software development sites is part of this role
