Manager Reporting (f/m/d) – Bensheim, Germany  

 

The Manager Reporting (f/m/d)  is responsible for for the accurate reporting of monthly/quarterly results, local statutory accounts/reporting/filing(yearly) and maintenance of the reporting related parts and processes in the ERP systems (incl. allocations/mapping). 

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for preparing local statutory accounts, reconciliations between Local GAAP and US-GAAP, while ensuring financial performance reporting and tax reporting is accurate, timely, and meets the constantly changing needs of the site and Company.  Reporting must be in compliance with Company Accounting Policies, US GAAP, and local statutory requirements.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with tax pertaining to tax declarations and tax audits.
  • Handling audit requests especially related to local statutory accounts (Local GAAP)
  • Assists in management / Corporate Reporting (US-GAAP)
  • Prepares statements of monthly financial data including income statement and balance sheet. Analysis of financial results as compared to monthly objectives. 
  • Accountable for proper procedures, policies and controls being in place in order to maintain strong internal controls and continuous education of site personnel to ensure compliance with these requirements.
  • Responsible for the safe keeping and maintenance of the company’s assets through balance sheet integrity and a proper control environment.
  • Respond to special financial requests and analysis and communicate potential problem areas. Conduct local and regional financial reviews/analysis as requested.
  • Responsible for internal reporting and for maintaining integrity, while assuring that Generally Accepted Accounting Practices are in place as discussed and reviewed with Accounting Pillar leadership.

 

 

Requirements & Qualifications:

 

  • Commercial education or other related discipline is required.
  • Additional education in Accounting/Local Statutory Accounts (like the German “Bilanzbuchhalter” ) is preferred.
  • Several years as an accountant manager in a manufacturing company.  Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a global division of a publicly-traded company.
  • Deep experience in all facets of financial reporting is required.
  • Strong analytic skills and experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle.
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills.
  • Comfort working in a global business environment that is undergoing process and technology changes.
  • Written and oral fluency in English.  Written and oral proficiency in the German language is mandatory.
  • Some domestic and international travel will be required.
