Your opportunity

As Head of EHS & Sustainability, you will be a member of the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Leadership Team and a key advisor to the Site Leadership Team.

You will lead and develop our EHS and sustainability agenda across a highly automated, world-class medical device manufacturing operation while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and driving continuous improvement.

Building on a strong foundation, you will help define the future of EHS and Sustainability at Wellspect.

You will have a central role in our journey toward Net Zero 2045, supporting our validated Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitments and helping transform ambitious goals into measurable results. What you will do

As Head of EHS & Sustainability, you will:

  • Lead and continuously evolve the EHS and Sustainability function at Wellspect.
  • Drive the implementation of our sustainability strategy and climate transition plan toward achieving Net Zero 2045.
  • Lead the continuous development of our ISO 14001 management system and EHS governance.
  • Serve as the primary interface with environmental and regulatory authorities, ensuring continued compliance with environmental permits and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Swedish and EU EHS legislation and emerging sustainability requirements.
  • Lead risk management activities related to environment, health and safety.
  • Ensure efficient sustainability reporting, including climate data management and environmental performance improvements.
  • Support major investment projects, facility expansions, automation initiatives and new product introductions.
  • Build engagement and capabilities throughout the organization through coaching, communication and training.
  • Lead and develop a highly competent team of EHS and Sustainability professionals while fostering a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

We expect you to have:

  • University degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field.
  • Several years of people leadership experience within EHS and/or Sustainability. 
  • Experience from a manufacturing environment, preferably within regulated industries such as MedTech, Pharma or Life Science.
  • Strong knowledge of Swedish and European EHS legislation and experience translating regulatory requirements into effective business processes.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and integrated EHS management systems.
  • Experience working with sustainability strategy, climate targets and regulatory environmental reporting.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience interacting with authorities and senior leadership teams.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
